From Marshall MacLuhan's The Medium is the Massage, I derived one concept explored through two differing publications: Art Journal and Speak Magazine. Each publication differs in both stylistic requirements and overall design. Art Journal leans towards a more traditional publication, while Speak Journal allows for slightly more experimentation throughout the publication, both in imagery and layout. Through both image-making strategy and layout of each journal, I have come to appreciate differing stylistic choices and the way they can live in the world.
